A Practice Report On Sentence Coherence In Simulating Consecutive Interpreting A Biz Date With The World Based On Translation Variation Theory

At present,domestic economic documentaries are broadcast every year and these documentaries show the economic situation of contemporary China and the situation of cross-border trade.These documentaries show Chinese business acumen and the effective communication between China and the world.However,these documentaries are rarely translated into English,or the translation of English version is relatively shallow and of poor quality.The translation of such economic documentaries can much more comprehensively show the survival appearance of Chinese people and their understanding of wealth and dreams.Therefore,high-quality translation of such economic documentaries is conducive to enhancing the world's understanding of China's economy and promoting the rapid development of China's economy.Guided by translation variation theory and based on the translation of documentary A Biz Date With the world,this paper is a practice report on sentence coherence in simulating consecutive interpretation.By analyzing the text features,the interpreter finds that incoherence of sentences is caused by sentence information redundancy,sentence subject missing and semantic ambiguity,and ambiguous logical relationship.The results of case analysis show that: combining information coherence and syntactic omission coherence can solve the incoherence caused by sentence information redundancy.The use of form change coherence and subject coherence can solve the incoherence caused by sentence subject missing and semantic ambiguity.By adding logical connectives coherence and compiling information coherence,we can solve the incoherence caused by ambiguous logical relationship.The effective solution to translation problem of sentence coherence in the translation process can not only convey information concisely and accurately,but also improve the fluency of consecutive interpretation and weaken the difference in sentence patterns betweenChinese and English to achieve the state of authentic translation.Through the translation practice,this paper puts forward effective strategies to deal with translation problem of sentence coherence.It is hoped to provide reference for the translation practice of economic documentaries interpretation in the future.
