Regarded as a real country-specific textbook,THAI LEARNING CHINESE has been popular with both Chinese teachers and learners in Thailand since it was published.It is widely accepted and used as well.Based on the Level of Chinese Vocabulary and Chinese Characters Outline,this thesis is conducting some research on the vocabulary selection and arrangement of the textbook through literature study,system analysis,qualitative description and comparative analysis,to see whether it is reasonable,then find out the causes.We also make some relevant suggestions on how to improve the textbook.Hopefully,this research will be of some help for the editors and users to have a better reflection on the textbook.At the same time,we sincerely wish some inspiration would be arisen for the revision of the textbook and the development of other fellow textbooks.This thesis consists of three main parts.Firstly,the introduction of the reason for the selection of the topic,the purpose and significance of the research.And a review of the current research situation for relative fields.Secondly,the study and analysis of the capacity of vocabulary,vocabulary distribution,vocabulary reccurence rate,part of speech,words explanation and exercise and so on.And the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages.Thirdly,the conclusion of the research.
