With the global economic integration and the further promotion of"The Belt and Road" development initiative,foreign exchange and cooperation between China and other countries in the world have become increasingly frequent,the demand for foreign language talents is increasing,and the specifications are constantly improving.Fluency in spoken English and strong communicative competence become the criteria for the evaluation of high-quality talents in the new era.Primary school English teaching is the initial stage and key period of students'English learning,and oral English teaching is particularly important.The newly revised "primary English curriculum standard" in 2011 clearly points out the language skills that pupils need to master in each academic year.According to the requirements of the new curriculum standard,the cultivation of primary school students' oral English ability has become one of the main goals of English Teaching in primary school.In the current primary school English teaching,oral English teaching has many problems,such as weak teachers strength,awareness of the importance of some teachers in oral English teaching is not enough,single teaching method is obsolete,the teacher failed to create a good atmosphere of oral English teaching,the students lack of English learning environment,students' ability of oral English performance assessment reflects not enough etc..Therefore,how to improve the teaching of spoken English in primary school is particularly important and imminent.In this study,literature research,investigation and classroom observation methods were used to investigate the oral English Teaching situation in 3 primary schools in Xinyu,Jiangxi.This paper mainly discusses the students' oral English ability and the teaching methods,attitudes and effects of oral English teaching.After an investigation found that the city primary school English teaching.Although there are some factors conducive to the cultivation of students' oral English ability,but on the whole do not pay enough attention to oral English teaching,in the teaching method has a deficiency of different extent,especially the lack of oral English teaching environment,family and social support is not enough for oral English teaching etc..To solve the above problems,this paper puts forward some suggestions on improving the urban primary school English Teaching in this paper:firstly,we should strengthen the construction of urban primary school English teachers,select outstanding young professional English teachers in oral English Teaching in the primary school,in order to ensure the English entry education of students;secondly,to improve the primary school English teaching methods,implement heard lead,read and write keep up with the teaching idea,from the beginning to the teaching of listening and speaking as the focus of English teaching,cultivating students' interest in learning English;third,to create a teaching environment,schools,parents and society should actively for students to create a say in English language environment,English;finally,the reform of English examination and evaluation system,increase the weight of English listening and speaking ability and guide the students to pay attention to oral English learning.The paper is divided into five parts.In the first part of the introduction,it introduces the background,the significance of this research,theoretical support,research status,research methods and concepts;the second chapter through the research methods,analysis of the current status of urban primary school English Teaching in China and the main problems;the third chapter analyzes the existing primary school in oral English the problems and reasons;the fourth chapter puts forward some important measures to improve oral English Teaching in primary school;the fifth chapter is the conclusion part of the thesis,points out that oral English Teaching in primary school has a very important significance for China's education reform of teaching wisdom city construction,and basic English,and hope that through this study to attract the attention of the relevant departments,the primary school English oral English teaching reform into practice.
