The practice report takes the Ten lectures for the Chinese Character and Chinese culture written by the professor Wang Ning in Beijing Normal University as the example and has selected two chapters in this book as the translation resource. This book mainly talks the origin, characteristics, the development of the font, the relation between the Chinese character and Chinese culture and the structure and word processing of the Chinese character. In the process of the translation, the translator has found that correctly grabbing the semantic equivalence and function equivalence in the translation between the source language and target language and correctly handling the information translation between the different cultures are the keys to addressing the translation problems in this kind of text.In the 20 th century,Katrina Rice proposed the Skopos theory, and then published Principles of Criticism and Possibility of Translation in 1971.At the same time,it mentioned Skopos theory in the book. With the continuous development of the theory, the two German translators based on the original theory, and further enrich the theory of translation and purposed three principles: Purpose,Fidelity and Coherence. This theory is the main theoretical basis for guiding translators to carry out this translation practice.Because in the translation, there are many expressions with Chinese characteristics,we have to deal with some problems,so we need to restore the original style to the greatest extent on the basis of ensuring fidelity. In the process of translating this article, the translator has encountered a large number of culturally loaded words with Chinese cultural characteristics and vocabulary with distinctive Chinese characters. The translator mainly used these translation methods when dealing with this type of problem:Reconstructing the sentences and starting a new one,and we can achieve coherence under the premise of ensuring fidelity. For those expressions with Chinese characteristics, the translator performs semantic interpretation according to the cultural habits and language habits of the target language readers, and uses annotations and interpretations.Since there are many things that cannot be presented to the reader through translation, and there is no influence on the expression of the article,in this case, the translator often adopts the method of translation. In addition to such a characteristic translation, there are many long sentences and some other common translation problems in the text. The translators also give corresponding translation strategies. After this translation practice, the translator put forward a relatively effective solution to the semantic equivalence and functional equivalence problems appearing in the information text, hoping to provide some reference for the text translation in the future.
