With China's increasing economic power and global influence,Chinese learning has been rising in importance.Chinese is now becoming widely taught and learned worldwide.Europe is one of the areas that enjoys a long history of sinology and Chinese teaching.While Leiden University which is known as "a place of strategic importance in European sinology" is well worth studying due to its importance.Educational narrative inquiry.as an academic discourse evolved from the intersection of narrative theory and educational theory,emphasizes the use of narrative strategies to present typical educational events in a specific context in the form of stories and texts.Research on educational narrative inquiry is to dig deep into the educational events,analyze the meaning of educational experience,and give advice to educational practice through narrative,reflection and interpretation.This thesis is composed of five chapters:The first chapter begins with the introduction of the research background and research significance.It then introduces the literature review,research content,methods and difficulties.The literature review is the main body of Chapter one,which mainly discusses the literature review on educational narrative,European Chinese teaching,and how it is applied to Chinese teaching.The second chapter studies theoretical overview,including the definition and theoretical sources of educational narrative,how it works as well as the values,possibilities and advantages of its application.The third chapter is the main part of the thesis,which examines the exploration of the application process of educational narrative in Chinese teaching in Leiden University.In the fourth chapter,the conclusions of the application of educational narrative in Chinese classroom teaching of Leiden University are presented and corresponding suggestions are given combined with the inquiry process.The fifth chapter summarizes the whole process of the inquiry.The values and significance of application of educational narrative in Chinese classroom teaching are supplemented and expanded in more fields.
