In recent years,Chinese language has been going abroad with more and more confidence.Confucius institutes shoulder the important task of international cultural communication.More and more Confucius institutes have been built in foreign countries,and the number of volunteers for Chinese language teachers has also increased.Volunteers of Chinese language teachers leave their homeland to live and work in the country where they are appointed,and various problems of cross-cultural adaptation also come along.The research on cross-cultural adaptation has been on the rise in the academic circle,but the research on the cross-cultural adaptation of Chinese teachers in different countries is not comprehensive,especially in many African countries.This paper is the first one on the cross-cultural adaptation of Chinese teachers in Senegal.Based on the survey of 14 items of basic information of volunteers to teach in Senegal,this paper adopts the methods of questionnaire survey and interview to conduct research from three dimensions of cross-cultural adaptation(psychological adaptation,sociocultural adaptation and teacher work adaptation).This paper mainly includes six parts.The introduction mainly introduces the research background,research purpose and significance as well as the relevant research review,in which the definition and research status of the concept of cross-cultural adaptation related to the paper are discussed.The first part introduces the object and method of investigation in detail.The second part mainly analyzes the results of the questionnaire and interview.In the first part,the reliability of the questionnaire is tested by using the reliability coefficient of alpha.Secondly,14 basic information of volunteer Chinese teachers in Cyprus are detailed.Then the author analyzes the results of psychological adaptation,social and cultural adaptation and teacher's job adaptation.The second section makes a brief analysis of the interview contents of the two volunteers.The third part is mainly based on the analysis of the results of the second part,from which it summarizes and extracts the main factors affecting the cross-cultural adaptation of Chinese teachers volunteers in Cyprus,and classifies them into two aspects:differences in ideology and living and working habits.The fourth part,based on the above analysis results and the author's own practical experience,puts forward some feasible Suggestions on the selection,training and management of future volunteers of Chinese teachers in Cyprus and Hanban.The fifth part is the conclusion,which points out the deficiency and the direction of improvement.Based on to the plug of the Chinese teachers' cross-cultural adaptation situation investigation and analysis of cross-cultural adaptation and combined with the author's own experience,summed up the impact factors of cross-cultural adaptation of Chinese teachers to to plug,and put forward some suggestions,hope to be able to choose the future colleagues to plug of Chinese teachers to do some help,to make them in to perform faster cross cultural adaptation,better work and life.
