In recent years, with the development of economy and the enhancement of comprehensive national strength,China's cultural soft power also has an increasingly important impact on the international community. As the carrier of Chinese culture,Chinese has also set off a wave of "Chinese fever" in the world. In order to alleviate the shortage of resources for Chinese language teachers in the world,a large number of volunteers are sent to all over the world every year by the national Han affairs office.Volunteers are basically composed of domestic postgraduate students majoring in Chinese international education Most of them lack practical teaching experience.During their overseas assignment, under the conflict of cultural differences, they not only need to quickly adapt to the local social life, but also complete the role transformation from students to teachers. The quality of volunteer work is not only related to their professional level, but also to the ability of cross-cultural adaptation.Based on the author's own Chinese language teaching practice in Spain from 2019 to 2020,this paper uses questionnaire survey and in-depth interview to analyze the volunteer Chinese teachers in Spain from three aspects:social life adaptation, psychological adaptation and work adaptation Cross cultural adaptation. The results showed that in terms of social culture, the main difficulties encountered by volunteers were adaptation to local diet, shopping and interpersonal communication;in terms of psychology,36%of the volunteers showed different degrees of depression symptoms, among which the most prominent problem was the lack of sense of achievement in life and work, and loneliness and anxiety were also common;in terms of work, volunteer teachers were the most satisfied In addition, most of the volunteers also said that the pressure before class was greater and the access to teaching resources was less.Using correlation analysis,it was found that the adaptation of volunteers in social culture, psychology and work were positively correlated, showing the consistency of adaptation. After understanding the adaptation of volunteers at the group level, this paper analyzes the factors that affect the cross-cultural adaptation of volunteers from the perspectives of cultural differences between China and the West and individual factors of volunteers. On the objective factors, based on Hofstede's cultural scale theory,it is found that the differences of values that affect the cross-cultural adaptation of volunteers mainly lie in the differences of individualism/Collectivism in Chinese and western social cultures and the views on power distance;from the subjective perspective, the influence of individual factors of volunteers on cross-cultural adaptation is studied by hypothesis testing, and the research finds that the volunteer's teaching institution(Confucius Institute)is the most important factor The experience of the volunteers has a significant impact on cross-cultural adaptation. In addition,in terms of social culture and work adaptation,it improved with the increase of time.In terms of psychology, the psychological adaptation of the volunteers in the second year was the bestAt the end of this paper, combined with my own practical experience, from the perspective of volunteers, put forward relevant suggestions in four aspects:social life, psychology and work, and strengthening language learning. For local schools,it is necessary to contact volunteers in advance, give them preparation direction and sufficient preparation time;pay more attention to the physical and mental health of volunteers, carry out regular teacher training, establish and improve the feedback mechanism of volunteer work to promote the cross-cultural adaptation of volunteers.
