The use of quantifiers is one of the characteristics of Chinese.Chinese quantifiers have metrological and rhetorical functions in language.Where as all quantifiers must be used such as,a Piece of Paper,a Sum of Money,a Person.In the Chinese society,we need such expression,which will produce corresponding quantifiers.The rhetorical function of quantifiers is also very prominent,and many figures of speech often use quantifiers.In daily communication,foreign students do not attach importance to the correct use and usage of quantifiers.For foreign students,the use of good quantifiers is conducive to the development of the language.Therefore,international students should study quantifiers very well to improve their Chinese expressions.Because the students around me and I are not professional in Mandarin,so I decided to choose this topic.There are many linguists and scholars in China who have made a thorough deep study of quantifiers,and they have pointed out some quantifiers teaching strategies and suggestions,which are very important for teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Despite all this,researches in this area stills very limited.Therefore,this paper mainly studies the errors in the use of quantifiers by Sudanese students whose first language is Arabic,The students of Chinese Department of Khartoum University and Confucius Institute of Sudan,who had studied Chinese for three years,were the main subjects of the survey,and their use of Chinese quantifiers in Chinese was investigated.Based on the text corpus,this paper obtains the research data through the questionnaire survey method,and then classifies the data based on these data,This paper discusses the causes of the errors,gives some relevant strategies and suggestions,and carries out the acquisition of Chinese quantifiers among learners from other countries where Arabic is the first language.This will be helpful to their Chinese learning.There are five chapters in this paper.First of all is introduction,which introduces the origin,present research situation,research content,research purpose and meaning,research method and research design scheme of the paper.The first chapter is the Chinese-Arabic quantifier contrast.The second chapter is the investigation and statistical analysis of the acquisition of Chinese quantifiers by Sudanese students.Chapter three is the error analysis of Sudanese students' acquisition of quantifiers.Chapter four is the analysis of the reasons for the errors of Sudanese students' acquisition of quantifiers.The fifth chapter is the advices and suggestion to the teachers and the students.The last part is the epilogue,which is the summary of the research in this paper.
