This is a report on the English-Chinese translation of Australia 2025,which belongs to academictexts.There are 15 essays in this book,which introduces the changes that Australia will face in 15 different fields in the next 50 years since 1975.At present,the economic and cultural exchanges between China and Australia are becoming increasingly close,This translation material provides a reference for Australian cultural enthusiasts and researchers in Australian medical,religious and agricultural development.There are four parts in this report,written with the accordance of the articles of ‘Food and Agriculture',and ‘Religion and Medicine',which consists of translation task description,translation process description,translation case analysis and translation practice conclusion.The core part is the third part of the report,which includes the translation method and the case analysis.The focus of this research is on the common issues of pronouns and verb infinitive translation method and amplification of nouns.According to Reiss' Text Typology,the translator's main task in translating academic texts is to faithfully convey the original information.Therefore,the fluency and accuracy of the translation are the focus of translation practice.According to the characteristics of the text and syntactic structure,amplification of nouns,the restorationof pronoun,the reversion and the conversion of infinitive verbs,the dividing and the recasting methods of long and difficult sentencesare selected.Although this translation practice report can provide some references for translators,it is not detailed enough in the classification and translation methods of verb infinitives.
