As one of the key research work of TCSL,textbook analysis plays an important role in the development of TCSL education.A good analysis of teaching materials for Chinese as a foreign language can not only provide practical primary materials for the majority of Chinese teachers,but also help a large number of Chinese learners to improve their language ability in a planned and targeted way,improve their cultural literacy and enrich their language knowledge reserve.For a long time,many scholars have studied the teaching materials for Chinese as a foreign language from different aspects and angles.On the basis of intensive reading and extensive reading,this paper will continue to conduct in-depth comparative analysis and research on the teaching materials for Chinese as a foreign language based on the conclusions collected and investigated.This paper selects the Intermediate Chinese reading course published by Peking University press in 2008(edited by Zhou Xiaobing and Xu Xiaoying)and the Development Chinese intermediate reading published by Beijing language and culture university press in 2011(edited by Xu Chengwei)as the research object.Under the guidance of the principles of scientific,practical,targeted and interesting compilation,this paper compares the two sets of textbooks in text,new words and exercises,and further analyzes the text sources,subject matter distribution and genre forms of these two sets of textbooks.The arrangement and number of new words;Number of exercises and questions.On this basis,this paper summarizes the characteristics of the two sets of textbooks: Intermediate Chinese reading course takes reading training and skill training as the key points.Developing Chinese intermediate reading follows the compilation principles of textbooks such as "easy to difficult","urgent use first","gradual progress" and "repetition" in the second language and pays attention to the display of communicative functions of language.In the specific analysis,the author expounds the importance of systematic textbook compilation,and also emphasizes the important status of "word summary table" and "textbook layout" in the whole textbook compilation,hoping to be helpful to the development of the compilation of teaching materials for Chinese as a foreign language.
