| At present,in the tide of information age,the rapid development of information technology for knowledge of the world shows the growth of the past,all kinds of knowledge update continues to shorten the cycle,for teaching,the traditional teaching method has gradually cannot satisfy the needs of students,use for a long time past teaching mode under the trend of the information age showed a lot of problems,based on this,the demand for education reform in our country is increasingly urgent.The curriculxim system of the 21st century has been in the process of reform,and English course has also joined the wave of curriculum reform.With the continuous development of modem information technology,the information industry has been greatly developed.The education of middle school English is changing along with the trend,the new education model is also changing,and the teaching methods are also changing to education in the future.Multimedia technology is a comprehensive system technology integrating text,image and sound processing.The combination of multimedia technology and teaching mode is multimedia teaching.Multimedia teaching is very important to the establishment of English learning environment.In addition,multimedia teaching can effectively expand students’ thinking and improve the efficiency of classroom teaching.However,multimedia teaching is not perfect and still has some shortcomings.Therefore,it is important to have a eorrect understanding of multimedia teaching and eonstantly improve it.The introduction of multi-media teaching into English teaching has a.high demand for its design principles and technical features.This paper investigates the application of multimedia in middle school English teaching by using the methods of literature research and investigation.It also investigates the application of multimedia in the teaching of English in Zhijiang No.1 Middle School.This paper puts forward some countermeasures to improve the application of multimedia in English teaching,to solve the eontradiction between large classroom eapacity and students’ acceptance,what is the best display point and time of multimedia,to carry out the teaching mode of "independent-inquiry" with multimedia,and to put forward the requirements of making multimedia courseware.Through this study,we found some shortcomings in the application of multimedia-aided teaching,mainly the following:First,the level of courseware production is insufficient.Second,relative lack of theoretical guidance.Thirdly,in the course of making courseware,some English teachers copy the courseware which has been made after the teacher’s book,and it is not decided according to the actual situation of the class.Fourth,although the classroom is equipped with multimedia equipment,but due to long-term disrepair,some multimedia equipment in preparation for use in some of the faults,resulting in a waste of classroom time.Fifth,because of the instability of the campus network used in the classroom,the computer in the classroom is good or bad,which often makes teachers who rely on computers in a more embarrassing situation.Sixth,some teachers are not proficient in mastery of multimedia skills.Based on the above findings,this paper explores the application of multimedia in English teaching and the implications of the research on English teaching.This research is based on teaching practice,and is summarized and analyzed through feedback from teaching practice.In the process of applying multimedia to English teaching,it is necessary to standardize multimedia English teaching,ensure the quality of English teaching,and regard multimedia as a powerful teaching tool and method in English teaching. |
