In recent years,with the formulation of the new English curriculum standards,the new curriculum standards for junior high school English pronunciation teaching clearly put forward a new teaching objectives,and the students' pronunciation understanding,teaching and application of these three aspects are described in detail.Through the new curriculum standards,we can see that the current junior middle school English pronunciation teaching,teachers should be based on.The use of pronunciation is for the purpose of teaching and attaches importance to the teaching of the connotation of pronunciation,which can not only help teachers change their roles in time,but also implement the teaching concept of teacher-led and student-centered in a real sense.Based on the theories of constructivism,autonomous learning and the zone of recent development,this study elaborates the subject by means of literature research,questionnaire survey and interview.Through the research,this paper mainly explains the background and research status of GLP,and elaborates the definition,theoretical basis and basic principles of the teaching mode of GLP.In the process of the research,combined with the teaching model of the teaching method in the middle school English pronunciation teaching,the construction and application of the school case were studied in detail.This study conducted a one-semester(about seventeen weeks)experimental observation of classes in the seventh grade of a middle school through questionnaires and case interviews.Questionnaires were conducted between two different groups of students and teachers.Carrying out pre-testing and post-testing for students,it is concluded that the teaching mode of the GLP helps to stimulate and cultivate the interests of middle school students in learning English,improve their English pronunciation,and cultivate the ability of middle school students to learn independently and the sense of cooperative learning,optimize classroom teaching.Based on the experimental results,some suggestions are put forward on how to use the GLP to teach English pronunciation in middle school.The innovation of this paper is to find out the existing problems of English pronunciationteaching in middle schools through experimental methods,and put forward the suggestion of using the GLP to guide students in English pronunciation teaching in middle schools.
