A Report On E-C Translation Of The International Rule Of Law And The Domestic Analogy

With the China,s "Belt and Road,strategy put forward,more and more Chinese enterprises have gone abroad to seek more development opportunities and broader international cooperation.During this period,there are many international commercial disputes that have happened,which brings the application of international law.Some achievements made by western countries are worthwhile to learn or use for reference,the translation of the texts related to international law is even more important.This report selects legal paper as the object of study,and focuses on the methods and strategies of English-Chinese translation of the legal text.First,it describes the task,including the text source,text features and research significance.Then,it introduces the translator's preparation before translate,analysis of source text,and the application of the translation theory.Finally,under the guidance of skopos theory,it studies the translation methods and strategies in the translation process.In the case analysis,the author carries on the translation practice from three levels.At the lexical level,this report explores the translation of nouns and nominalization structures of law and analyzes the addition and omission in translation.At the sentence level,it discusses two methods in translating the passive voices,that is keeping the passive voices and converting to active structures.And methods like sequencing,reversing and recasting are selected to handle the translation of long and complex sentences.And then at the discourse level,cohesion of the text is also used to deal with the difficulties in the source text.Based on all above,the translator reviews his whole translation process and elicits experience in the translation practice.
