| This report is based on the translation of the second and the third section of the second chapter and the third chapter of Thailand's Higher Education Internationalization: Current Situations,Issues and Countermeasures.The book mainly introduces the current situations,issues and countermeasures of Thailand's higher education internationalization.It is conducive for readers to understand the development process of Thailand's higher education internationalization.The source text is an educational academic book,and it is an informative text.The reporter tries to solve translation difficulties in aspects of technical terms,non-subject sentences and long sentences under the guidance of the communicative translation theory,so as to summarize the specific translation methods and strategies.The translation report consists of four parts.The first part introduces the translation task,including project source,background,text content,purpose and significance of translation.The second part describes the translation process,including the pre-translation preparation,the description of the translation process and the review of post-translation.The third part is case analysis which is the most important part of the report.In this part,the reporter summarizes three translation difficulties in aspects of technical terms,non-subject sentences and long sentences.Guided by the communicative translation theory,the reporter utilizes translation methods of checking,disproof,adding note,adding subject,switching voice,using fixed sentence pattern,dividing,reversing and recasting to solve the three difficulties.The last part summarizes the findings and limitations of this translation practice.The reporter hopes that the experience of this translation practice will provide some references for her and other translators to translate such kind of text in the future. |
