Interpreting Practice Report On Meeting Between Slovenia Delegation And Hebei Winter Olympic Office

This paper is a consecutive interpreting practice report,and the interpreting task is the meeting between Slovenia and Hebei Provincial Winter Olympics Office during the3~rdd Local Leaders'Meeting of China-CEEC,Tangshan,in 2016.According to the Danica Seleskovitch and Marianne Lederer,the Interpretive Theory takes the idea that translation is interpretation,and it is a kind of interpretation made by the translator through the linguistic symbol and his own cognitive complement based on the source language.In addition,the theory thinks translation consists of three levels:which are on meaning,sentences,and discourse respectively,and only the third one is real interpretive interpretation.In this paper,the interpreter used the Interpretive Theory and applied related translation methods to analyze the problems in the task,and explored the practicability of the theory in general interpretation work,and combined with the practice,the paper tries to give some related experiences for readers.Through the practice,the interpreter found that the Interpretive Theory is suitable to general interpretation,and interpretation should combine practice with theory.In addition,the ability and preparation of the interpreter is also important to the success of any interpreting work.Figure 1;Table 3;Reference 21.
