A Comparison Of Vocabulary In Henan Shangqiu Dialect Between The Old And The Young

This paper selects the young and the old vocabulary of Shangqiu dialect as the research object,compares and analyzes the similarities and differences between the young and the old dialect vocabulary,Showing the change from old vocabulary to young vocabulary,explores the reasons for the differences between the young and the old vocabulary,then analyzes the development trend of Shangqiu dialect vocabulary in the future.It can have a more comprehensive understanding of the features and changes of Shangqiu dialect vocabulary,provides language materials for studying the changes of dialect vocabulary.This paper is divided into seven chapters:The first chapter is the introduction.It mainly introduces the history of Shangqiu's human geography and dialect division,explains the research purpose,significance,content and methods,introduces the situation of dialect survey cooperators and describes the phonetic system of Shangqiu dialect.The second chapter is the glossary classification table of Shangqiu dialect.This paper is based on "Chinese dialect word investigation entry list",surveys older people over 60 and younger people under 30.The third chapter is the correspondence between the young and the old vocabulary of Shangqiu dialect.According to the vocabulary obtained from the previous survey,there was little change in 70.51% of thevocabulary,29.59% of the vocabulary changed.Changes can be divided into four categories:Part is the same,Very different,Existence and absence,Absence and existence.The fourth chapter is the comparison of word formation of the young and the old vocabulary in Shangqiu dialect.It analyzes from three aspects:the comparison of repeated and nonrepeated sounds,the difference of syllable quantity and the comparison of morpheme quantity.From the old vocabulary to the young vocabulary,the number of reduplications of AA-style increases in relatives;there are more polysyllabic words in the old dialect than in the young dialect,the young dialect has more twosyllable words than the old dialect;some distinctive affixes are dying out in the old dialect,such as“ge(?),la(?),da(?),leng(?)”.The fifth chapter is the difference in the meaning of old and young vocabulary.Exploring some dialect words whose meaning range has changed from the old to the young,most of it is a reduction in meaning,especially some words with figurative and extended meanings in the old dialect.The sixth chapter is the reason for the differences between the old and the young vocabulary of Shangqiu dialect.It is mainly due to social changes,language attitudes,the promotion of mandarin,media communication,cultural level and age differences,etc.The seventh chapter is conclusion.It generalizes the correspondenceand changes of the young and the old dialect vocabulary of Shangqiu.It analyzes the development trend of Shangqiu dialect:it is inevitable that some distinctive old dialect words will fade away,however,the young dialect still maintained the coexistence of dialect vocabulary and mandarin vocabulary for a long time.
