Consecutive Interpreting Practice Report On The Match-making Session On The 8^th China Annual Meeting Of Trade In Services

This thesis is a practice report of English-Chinese and Chinese-English consecutive interpreting task about the match-making session of the communication and match-making session for International Trade in Services,and the major part is Chinese-English consecutive interpreting.The selected conference is the match-making session of the 8th China Annual Meeting of Trade in Services.Conference covers the topics of infrastructure,information and communication technology,seafood,import and export processing,smart energy,logistics and cables.The speakers are from different countries and industries.This interpreting task acted as a bridge between the match-making parties.There are Philippine Commercial Counselor to China and international students in China and other group is business representatives.The time is July 28th-July 31 st 2018,the location is Weihai,China.The conference venue is Dongshan hotel,multifunctional room,3rd floor of the guest greeting building.This task featured with speaker change,impromptu speeches,different accents,fast speaking speed and multiple fields,so this material was chosen to write this report.This report summarizes in four aspects in order to evaluate the writer's performance in this task.The four parts are: task description,interpretation process,case analysis under the theoretical guidance,and practice conclusion.Based upon the Effort Allocation of Gile's Effort Model and Comprehension Equation,the thesis focuses on analysis of the specific cases,and finally makes a conclusion and puts forward the enlightenment for future's interpreting work.
