Wu Yue's Folk Belief And The Mysterious Writing Of Su Tong's Novels

Su Tong is one of the most important and most influential writers in contemporary Chinese literary circles since the 1980 s.In the mysterious space of Wuyue folk culture filled with witchcraft,he has unearthed new cultural resources.Through the extraction of nutrients from the Wuyue folk belief culture,he has continuously internalized it into his own life creation experience.However,as a writer who is accustomed to exploring the origins of the virtual reality and the boundary between life and death,Su Tong still lacks sufficient attention in the internal relationship between the mystery of his text writing and the Wuyue folk belief culture.This thesis attempts to use Wuyue folk belief cultural resources as an entry point,to explore how Su Tong transformed the mysterious Wuyue folk belief culture into creative resources from the perspective of witch ghost image,original image and ancient rituals,and continuously returned to the traditional Wuyue folks.While realizing self-identity,it also cracks the mystery of culture and the mystery of life.The paper is divided into five parts:The introduction mainly introduces the reason for the mysterious writing in Su Tong's writing.From the growing environment,the imaginary construction of childhood experience,and the influence of exotic magical realism,it clarifies the reasons why Su Tong paysattention to the ancient Wuyue's folk beliefs;sorts out the previous research results and the research dynamics closely related to this topic,clear the research direction and research significance of the thesis.The first chapter is based on the image of witch and the image of female ghosts.It analyzes the infiltration of the long and long witch and ghost culture in Su Tong's novels.In the shaping of the characters,Su Tong combines Wu Yue's strong witch and ghost beliefs with novel creation.It has created a series of mysterious and deep images of wizards,witches and female ghosts.It innovates on the basis of activating traditions and expresses the mysterious and lonely experience of contemporary people.The second chapter explores the relationship between the image appearing in Su Tong's text and Wu Yue's folk belief culture.In Su Tong's novels,there are three ancient archetype worship symbols of secluded animals,spiritual plants and feminine objects.Under the guidance of the concept of "everything is alive",he presents the original psychological and living conditions of the ancestors with the reappearance of the original image,and reveals the most ancient and secret cultural and psychological experience in the heart of Wu Yue people.The third chapter mainly analyzes the profound meaning of the funeral rites of "Heavy Death" and the ritual of "Chonggu Shang Ghost" in Su Tong's novels.These two ancient folk rituals are not only anunconscious return to the traditional Wuyue folk belief culture,but also the realization of the dark boundary between life and death in the boundary between reality and illusion.The writing of the traditional death ritual,while casting a mysterious color for the text narrative,also highlights Su Tong's philosophical thinking on the human life and death landscape.The conclusion further elaborates that Su Tong focused on the Wu Yue folks' beliefs full of ghosts and ancient rituals,and formed a textual world with its own divine and spiritual characteristics.Starting from the depths of folk belief cultural resources,Su Tong is of great significance in re-establishing the mysterious narrative of Chinese literature and identifying the basic lines of reality and history in the ridiculous and mysterious cultural factors of the people.
