Teaching Chinese as a second language undertakes the mission of cultural exchange and cultural communication.As an important part,cultural teaching runs through the whole process of teaching Chinese as a second language.Since the1980 s,cultural teaching of Chinese as a second language has made a lot of achievements.With the development of modern Internet,science and technology,how to use the current increasingly mature communication forms of new mediat o assist the cultural teaching of Chinese as a second language provides us with new ideas for research.Based on the application of new media in teaching Chinese as a second language,this paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter introduces background,significance,purpose and method innovation of the research.The second chapter is an overview of new media,describing the development status and characteristics of new media.By investigating and analyzing the application of Chinese learning apps,the use of new media by learners and teachers,it discusses the advantages of new media in teaching Chinese as a second language.The third chapter,based on the investigation of the cultural learning of learners and the cultural teaching of Chinese teachers,analyzes the deficiencies in the current teaching of Chinese as a second language,and proposes to make full use of the new media to assist the teaching of Chinese as a second language.The fourth chapter is to design a mobile learning APP“Culture Bus” which integrates learning,sharing,communicating and experiencing on the basis of the previous chapter to assist the cultural teaching of Chinese as a second language.It mainly introduces the basic situation of APP design from the using object,theoretical basis and practical basis,then specifically introduces the APP 's interface style,knowledge content,overall framework and module functions,etc.,and analyzes the advantages and limitations of APP designing.The last one is the conclusion.Based on the understanding of the current learning needs of Chinese learners,aiming at the current deficiencies of the cultural teaching of Chinese as a second language,this paper designs a cultural learning APP,which provides specific measures to solve the essential problems existing in the current cultural teaching,hoping to provide assistance for the development of teaching Chinese as a second language.
