Japan is a big educational country.During more than two hundred years since the rise of the “educational fever” in the Edo period.The tradition and atmosphere of attaching importance to education and respecting education have gradually formed from the state to the local areas,which has laid a good foundation for the education and reform of Meiji Restoration.During this period,in order to strengthen economic exchanges with China,Chinese language education has received unprecedented attention.Therefore,Japanese scholars compiled and published a large number of Japanese Chinese textbooks.Especially the compilation of commercial Chinese textbooks to meet the rapid development of commercial Chinese communication needs.YanyuQimeng is a product of the times.YanyuQimeng is a textbook of primary commercial Chinese compiled for the purpose of practicality in Meiji period of Japan.In compiling,the textbooks of the same period are inherited and innovated,which has certain research value.This paper comprehensively uses the Literature research method,chart method and comparative analysis method to analyze and discuss the compilation content and language teaching consciousness of YanyuQimeng from the aspects of pronunciation,vocabulary,grammar and conversation.At the same time,combined with the present situation of Chinese teaching materials for foreign language.It further explains the characteristics of YanyuQimeng and the enlightenment it brings to us in compiling.This paper is divided into eight parts:The first chapter introduces the reason of choosing this paper,the current situation,the research ideas and methods,the research value and significance of Chinese textbooks in Meiji period in Japan.The second chapter is about the compilation of YanyuQimeng.Firstly,it introduces the author's background of YanyuQimeng.Secondly,it expounds the edition and compilation style of YanyuQimeng.Finally,it analyses the compilation principles of YanyuQimeng.The third chapter is the phonetic system of YanyuQimeng.Through the analysis of “fourcircle tone marking method”,the pronunciation location and method,“Beijing Pingdao Spectrum” and the phonetic change phenomena in the book.It explores the inheritance of phonetic teaching consciousness in YanyuQimeng phonetic system and the author's unique teaching consciousness in Chinese textbooks in the same period.Find out the deficiency of phonetic system and analyze its reasons.Chapter four is the lexical system of Yanyuqimeng.It makes statistics and analysis from three aspects: basic vocabulary,general vocabulary and idiom.In the part of basic vocabulary,these vocabularies are compared with the current General Syllabus for International Chinese Teaching.This paper probes into the adaptability of Yanyuqimeng in vocabulary quantity,selection,distribution and textbook grade.The fifth chapter is the grammatical system of YanyuQimeng.It analyses and interprets YanyuQimeng from these two perspectives: words and sentences.The parts of speech include nouns and the grammar of the Qing Dynasty.From the setting of modal particles at the end of sentences in “Qing Language Grammar”,this paper focuses on the analysis of interrogative sentences and exclamatory sentences in conversation,and finally summarizes the grammatical features and shortcomings of textbooks.Chapter six is the conversational system of YanyuQimeng.Starting from the characteristics of its business Chinese textbook,this paper divides the conversation content into two aspects: daily communication,business communication and further analyses the characteristics of topic selection in YanyuQimeng.The seventh chapter is the language teaching consciousness embodied in YanyuQimeng.This paper makes an analysis and discussion from three aspects: the leading role of teachers,professional and integrating language teaching into cultural contents.The Chapter Eight is the Enlightenment of Yanyu Qimeng to the writing of Chinese textbooks in foreign languages.It expounds the combination of language and culture,pay attention to the scientific and systematic nature of textbooks and strengthening the compilation of overseas Chinese textbooks.
