With the ever-fierce competition among tourism brands,many cities,counties and districts have taken a combined cultural tourism philosophy of “driving tourism with culture and carrying forward culture through tourism” as a fresh trend to build characteristic tourism brands.Against such backdrop,those ancient villages whose awareness of brand is obviously weak must review their local special cultural tourism resources to shape and promote their new brand images.Therefore,the paper combs and investigates the culture of ancient villages and the image construction of their cultural tourism brands.And it introduced the ancient village culture into the cultural tourism brand and visual image design as a symbol,so as to establish the research system of ancient village cultural tourism brand image.To begin with,the paper makes an illustration to the relevant theory and concept of visual image design of cultural tourism brands,and works to arrange the concept,connotation and value of ancient village culture.Then,integrated with case analysis,the paper makes a systematic sorting and conclusion on the principles and approaches to make visual image design of cultural tourism brands.In the end,Yujia Village,Jingxing County in Shijiazhuang City is taken as a case to make site investigation and conclude its cultural symbol to transform into a special visual design image.With all these efforts,a set of visual brand image design is completed for “Yujia Stone Village”,and it is hopeful to provide a reference for the study on the visual image of cultural tourism brands for ancient villages.
