There are many kinds of Chinese adverbs.Modal adverb is included and has been a difficult point in Chinese International Education,because the positions are flexible and it is not easy for foreign students to choose proper word.The study of modal adverbs in Chinese International Education,is especially becoming more and more urgent.According to Syllabus of Chinese Vocabulary and Chinese Characters,International Curriculum for Chinese Language Education,Eight Hundred Words in Modern Chinese,this article studies 10 modal adverbs with turning meaning that are typical and frequently used.According to Modern Chinese Corpus of the State Language Commission,BCC,CCL Modern Chinese Corpus,the ontological study includes the meanings,the positions in sentences,the types of combination.According to the two corpuses and the textbooks of Developing Chinese comprehensive courses,the article classifies the words,investigates the distributions.According to HSK corpus,the article divides errors' types of these words,explores the causes,makes teaching design,gives corresponding and targeted teaching suggestions and learning methods.The introduction,it expatiates research status of the modal adverbs with turning meaning,including the definition,the case research status,the contrastive research situation of Chinese International Education.At the same time,it expounds research plans of the modal adverbs with turning meaning,including research objectives,research ideas,research methods.The first chapter is the ontological study of the modal adverbs with turning meaning.Firstly,defines the modal adverb and ten specific words that will be researched,know meanings of the words based on Eight Hundred Words in Modern Chinese.Then,based on related sentences in Modern Chinese Corpus of the State Language Commission,BCC?CCL Corpus,positions of the words in sentences are analyzed.Finally,it investigates the arrangement and combination of the modal adverbs with turning meaning,including continuous use and interval use.The second chapter is the distribution and the compilation of the modal adverbs with turning meaning.It investigates the distribution of modal adverbs with turning meaning in the syllabuses and the textbook.In Syllabus of Chinese Vocabulary and Chinese Characters,thereare 6 words of level “ ? ”,which is maximum.In International Curriculum for Chinese Language Education,there are 4 words of the fourth level,which is maximum.Among the six comprehensive textbooks of Developing Chinese,there are 9 words in Intermediate Comprehensive II,the number is maximum.Both Intermediate Comprehensive I and Advanced Comprehensive I have 8 words.Among the six textbooks,the quantities of ? are maximum of the example sentences and related texts,and the quantities of ? are minimum.And it investigates explanations ang exercises' design of the words in the referred six textbooks.The third chapter is about errors analysis,including the errors'types and causes of the modal adverbs with turning meaning.Based on HSK corpus,the errors of the words are analyzed.According to statistics,there are altogether 3027 related sentences.There are 1248 example sentences of?,1077 sentences of??.The two word have large quantities.The error rates of?????????aren't less than 20%,which is relatively high.The quantity of misrepresentation is maximum,there are 222 sentences.The error rate of misrepresentation is63%.The errors'reasons include these aspects:Chinese itself,learns,learning environment.The fourth chapter is about the suggestions of Chinese International Education for the modal adverbs with turning meaning.For the compilation of textbooks:the compilation of meaning,example sentences and exercises design;sino-foreign compilatory textbooks.For students'acquisition:flexible learning strategies,positive communication with Chinese.For teachers'teaching:full and pertinent preparation of every lesson,teaching and practice combined of teaching methods.And based on error research,instructional design of teaching is made for“?”“??”“??”whose error rates are relatively high.Based on the ontological study,according to HSK corpus,the article studied detailed errors,analyzed the causes and give pertinent suggestions to help foreign students or learners study modal adverbs with turning meaning and give teachers some teaching references.
