Drama has its own specificity and complexity.Drama is literature and art, which can be perfectly presented through written texts and stage performances. With the development of Internet technology,computer-aided translation technology has gained a certain recognition in dealing with repetitive texts, and more and more scholars have started to focus on its growth.Drama has been proved to have a large number of repeated words and phrases, including names, places and specialized words of drama,so we can use computer-aided translation software to translate them, which can save translators a lot of time and prove the availability of computer-aided translation for drama. This material is selected from The Hot L Baltimore,a drama of Lanford Wilson who was an American playwright.Firstly,SDL Trados2019 is used to translate the drama and to give full play to its advantage to translate the script, which has greatly improved the work efficiency of the author.Meanwhile, some analyses have been done on existing disadvantages of computer-aided translation. When machines cannot completely express the feelings of different characters in the drama, the author needs to describe them appropriately through post-editing.Secondly,under th e guidance of relevance translation theory, the author has employed the translation methods of foreignization and domestication to explore how to translate discourse markers and dirty words in the process of post-editing through case studies.Thirdly, focusing on these two difficulties in drama translation, including the personalization of dialogues and the performance of lines, the author has listed some examples to analyze them. Finally, the author has got the summary of this translation report. The author hopes to provide some reference materials for some researchers.
