Chinese characters are symbols to record Chinese and an indispensable step for foreign students to learn Chinese.Chinese character teaching is also a major problem in the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.There are huge differences in language and culture between the United States and South Korea,and there are many differences in the way students from the two countries write Chinese characters.Therefore,this article,with the help of "HSK dynamic composition corpus",conducts a comparative study on Chinese character writing errors between American students and Korean students,further seeks the causes of the errors,and puts forward suggestions on Chinese writing teaching for students from the two countries,hoping to be helpful for their teaching.This article is divided into seven chapters.Chapter one is the introduction,which firstly introduces the research background,research significance and research status of this article,then introduces the research methods and research theoretical basis used in this article,and finally gives a brief explanation of the source of corpus and the definition of errors.In the second chapter,data statistics and reason analysis are made on the errors of incorrect character of American students and Korean students.The third chapter analyzes the data statistics and causes of their errors of wrong written character.The fourth chapter analyzes the errors of traditional Chinese characters and pinyin characters.Chapter five analyzes the other causes of writing errors in Chinese characters.The sixth chapter is some suggestions on the teaching of Chinese characters for American and Korean students based on the errors mentioned above.The seventh chapter is the conclusion,which summarizes the content of this article,and also reflects on the shortcomings.
