Xixia,a minority-established regime, has existed in northwestern China for 190 years. As an important force of the Song Dynasty,it not only created a vigorous national history, prospered a rich and colorful ethnic culture, but also had a significant impact on the relationship between the Northern Song,Liao,Southern Song,Jin,and Huihu and Tubo, and even played a check and balance. After being existed for nearly two centuries,it was eventually destroyed by the Mongolian army. When the Mongolian army died of Xixia, the Xixia cultural relics and books were destroyed on a large scale, and the remaining Xixia materials were gradually buried in the historical dust, making Xixia's history and culture dim and mysterious.During the compilation of history books in the Yuan Dynasty, only the "History of Song","Liao History",and "Golden History" were edited, but not the history of Xixia Kingdom, which made a lot of Xixia historical materials unreserved.Although Yuan Xiu's "History of Song","Liao Shi","Golden History" and other rough records of Xixia, you can get a rough idea of Xixia, but we know most about the evolution of the political situation, military disputes,Exchanges between regimes belong to the category of historical knowledge, but records of Xixia education and culture that reflect Xixia society,Xixia sociology, and Xixia folklore are rare. This brought great difficulties to the study of the spread of Confucianism in the Western Xia Dynasty. The Hexi Corridor,as a granary and an important logistics base for Xixia,is extremely important for Xixia. The rule of the Hexi Corridor region is stable, and economic development and the progress of culture and education have been valued by the rulers of the Xixia Dynasty. As the mainstream of Chinese traditional culture,Confucianism has been widely spread in the Chinese mainland. The spread of Confucianism is affected by the differences in geographical environment, economic forms, changes in political power, cultural customs, and local conditions in various regions, and it shows differences in communication methods, academic schools, and academic styles. This article is to study the background, methods, characteristics and influence of the spread of Confucianism in the Hexi Corridor during the Xixia period. The spread of Confucianism in the Hexi Corridor area during the Xixia period was diverse and rich in content, which was of great significance for enriching and prospering Confucianism.
