In recent years,tourism in developing countries has been developed rapidly and occupied a large market share in global tourism.Therefore,more and more attention has been paid to the translation of tourism marketing-related literature in developing countries.Based on the translation of English academic monograph Tourism Marketing for Developing Countries(chapter 7)and guided by the theory of translation compensation,this report discusses the appropriate translation methods for the characteristics of such literature.The report is divided into four parts: the first part introduces the translation task as a whole,analyzes and explains the main requirements of the task;the second part is the analysis of translation process and the introduction to the theory of translation compensation.The third part is the main body of this report.The author uses the theory to analyze typical cases of the task from three aspects,namely,language level,cultural level and aesthetic level.The fourth part summarizes the problems and shortcomings in the translation.On the premise of the expressive effect of information,this report makes a detailed analysis of the application of the translation compensation theory in the task in combination with specific cases,hoping to provide some references for other translators when they translate similar documents.
