With the continuous improvement of China's international status and the increasing number of foreign learning Chinese,the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language is becoming more and more important.As an important part of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,the teaching of cultural words has been paid more and more attention.Cultural words are different from other words in that they contain rich national characteristics and culture,have rich meanings.The teaching of cultural words in teaching Chinese as a foreign language is not only the teaching of language,but also the communication and dialogue between two cultures.Textbooks bearing a large number of cultural words are not only the basis of language teaching,but also the platform for cultural communication.Whether the selection,presentation and interpretation of cultural words in textbooks are reasonable or not is particularly important,which directly or indirectly affects the learning efficiency of Chinese learners.This paper is divided into six parts:The introduction introduces the research background,research methods,research significance and the source of corpus.The corpus comes from two textbooks:<Encounters: Chinese language and Culture >and <The Developing of Chinese>.The first chapter firstly counts the total number of cultural words in <Encounters:Chinese language and Culture >and <The Developing of Chinese>,then analyzes various cultural words,and finally discusses the selection of cultural words in teaching Chinese as second language.In the statistical analysis,we can find that the two sets of textbooks involve a wide range of cultural word categories,but in terms of the total vocabulary,the number is small,and the category distribution is uneven,many cultural word categories are blank,there is vacancy.The second chapter first describes the presentation and interpretation of cultural words in the two sets of teaching materials,then compares the main presentation and interpretation of the two sets of teaching materials,and finally summarizes their characteristics and discusses the results.Through comparative analysis,we find that presenting cultural words in the form of unit titles can help students pay more attention to cultural words.In the text,cultural words can be presented with the help of pictures to enhance the visual experience.Using exercises to present cultural words,can be linked,layer by layer,enhance flexibility.We also find that different types of cultural words are used in different ways of interpretation,which is not the same,and the same cultural words are interpreted from multiple angles,which can penetrate into each plate.The third chapter,based on the comparison results of the first two chapters,discusses the principles of the selection and compilation of cultural words in combination with textbook cases.The fourth chapter,on the basis of the comparison results of cultural words in the previous teaching materials,uses Krashen's “i+1”principle and Ebbinghaus forgetting theory to construct the supplementary word list of cultural words in the teaching materials according to the content of the textbooks,and discusses various teaching methods that teachers can use in the actual teaching.The conclusion part summarizes the main points,contents and conclusions of the paper.
