The Silent Yellow River Flood Land is a CCTV documentary that tells the story of Song Keming,a villager who devoted all his time to the protection of the Great Bustards(Otis tarda)and other birds from the winter 2015 to the spring 2016.It is a record of the rough road of environmental protection of an ordinary farmer for 19 years,which shows the development and current situation of China's folk environmental protection.This report is based on the simulated simultaneous interpretation of the aforesaid documentary.Guided by the interpretive theory,this practice report is divided into four parts,which are task description,process description,analysis of selected examples and summary.This report mainly studies the language factors and text features,like dialects and long sentences,in the Chinese-English interpretation of popular science documentaries on wildlife.And by analyzing the examples in the practice,it explores the significance of the interpretive theory in the interpretation of this kind of documentary in the hope of accumulating experience for the accurate and efficient interpretation of this type of documentary in the future.
