Study On Zeng Xiaowen's Novels From Trans-cultural Perspective

Zeng Xiaowen is an important new immigrant writer in the Canadian Chinese literary arena.She has lived overseas for more than 20 years and has been from the United States to Canada.Her personal experience is quite legendary.For more than 20 years,she has written more than 30 novels.These novels were written in different living periods of the writer,reflecting the life experience of the writer at different stages of intercultural communication.This article attempts to sort out the creative stages of Zeng Xiaowen's novels from the perspectives of cross-cultural adaptation stage theory,cross-cultural adaptation strategy theory,feminist criticism theory,and western narratology theory.This article is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is Introduction.Mainly introduce the development of North American immigration literature and North American new immigration literature.Summarizes the current research status,and clarify the research purpose and significance of this article.The second chapter is about the creation of Zeng Xiaowen's novels.This chapter mainly divides Zeng Xiaowen's novel creation into three stages based on Zeng Xiaowen's own life experience and changes in the theme and narrative perspective of her work.The third chapter is about Zeng Xiaowen's theme characteristics in different creative periods.Based on the text,this chapter sorts out the creative themes at different creative stages,and analyzes the author's cross-cultural adaptation according to the cross-cultural communication strategies adopted by the characters in the text.The fourth chapter,Zeng Xiaowen's narrative perspective and cultural identity change in different creative periods.In the first phase of her creation,most of Zeng Xiaowen's articles used a third-person perspective to show a marginal introspection of Chinese immigrants.In the second stage,the narrative structure and perspective have become more abundant.From the perspective of western men in the eyes of Chinese women and Chinese women in the eyes of Western men,reconstruct the role and identity of women in marriage.In the third stage,Zeng Xiaowen paid attention to different ethnic groups from the perspective of equality,explored the harmonious symbiosis of multiculturalism of the human,regarded the suffering of special groups as the common suffering of mankind,and reflected the characteristics of "world citizen".
