Consonant is one of the most important parts of the phonetic system, and it is also one of the difficulties for Chinese learners to learn Chinese. In this paper, the acquisition of stops and affricates in Chinese by chinese-speaking mid-level students from Pakistan is studied by means of acoustic experiments and auditory discrimination experiments. This article mainly consists of three parts:The first part is "Introduction",including the significance of the topic, previous research related to the brief description,as well as the content of this study, process and methods. In the second part, the author makes an acoustic analysis of the stops and affricates of Chinese acquired by Pakistani intermediate students studying abroad, focusing on VOT and affricate duration.By comparing and analyzing the acoustic parameters of Chinese and Pakistani, and combining the auditory discrimination experiment, the phonological features and error analysis of Pakistani middle-level foreign students in the context of monosyllabic and disyllabic are obtained. The third part is the error analysis, which analyzes the errors in the acquisition of Chinese stops and affricates by Pakistani intermediate foreign students, and puts forward the countermeasures and teaching suggestions.Based on the above analysis, the main conclusions of this paper are as follows: The aspirated stops and affricates of mid-level foreign students in Pakistan are less aspirated than those of their native Chinese, but the unaspirated sounds are stronger than those of their native Chinese; When Pakistani students acquire the initial g of Mandarin, the voicing of the initial g is prominent, mainly turning it into a voiced plosive g and a nasally voiced plosive g,the foreign students can distinguish different phonemes according to the duration of affricate and the intensity of aspirate.
