Verbs are basic parts of speech in second language learning,and “kan” is one of the most common and basic verbs in Chinese.At the same time,the meaning of “kan” is also semantic variety.Therefore,we chose “kan” as the research object to investigate Vietnamese students' acquisition.The main contents of this paper are as follows:Chapter 1: This chapter introduces the reasons for choosing this topic,the significance and scope of the research,the theoretical basis and research methods,and finally introduces the research status of "Kan".Chapter 2: This chapter will summarize the previous research results on the semantics of “kan” and list the semantics of “kan” and its synonyms in order to lay a foundation for future articles.Chapter 3: In this part,we mainly investigate the understanding of 17 senses of “kan” by Vietnamese students with intermediate and advanced Chinese level.We designed 17 meaning items of “kan” as 17 example sentences and examined their understanding in the form of Chinese translation into Vietnamese.Through analysis,it is concluded that Vietnamese students are difficult to understand and master “kan” meanings such as “showing a certain trend”,“being careful,paying attention” and “blaming”.The meanings that are difficult to understand are elaborated from the perspectives of “kan” itself,Chinese teaching materials,positive and negative transfer of mother tongue.Chapter 4: This paper based on Beijing Languge and Culture University HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus to investigate 73 cases of Vietnamese Students' “kan” corpus are extracted,and 232 examples are extracted from Vietnam's two junior and senior Chinese schools,and the compositions of the second-year students majoring in Chinese in the department of foreign languages of Tongta university.At the same time,it discusses the error analysis,types and causes of Vietnamese students' use of “kan”.Chapter 5: Through the survey results,this paper puts forward some suggestions on the teaching of “kan” in terms of meanings difficult for Vietnamese students to master.
