Based on the Chinese translation of chapter four to chapter six of The Handbook of Translation and Cognition,this translation report analyzes the Chinese translation of the English academic text.The Handbook of Translation and Cognition is published in 2017 and there is no Chinese version yet.Introducing the cognitive study of translation and interpreting,this book is a pioneering work in the area of translation and cognition.This report consists of four parts.Chapter one is task description,including introduction to the source text and the analysis of the source text.It also includes translation significance,the requirements for the task and the structure of the report.Chapter two describes the translation process,which covers preparation work,process of translation and quality control.As the main part of the report,Chapter three includes a brief introduction to the theoretical framework of the report——Reiss‘s Text Typology Theory,and a classification and analysis of the typical problems in the translation practice under the guidance of the theory,which ranges from terminology translation to complex and long sentence translation to textual style translation.Chapter four summarizes the whole report,including translation experience and issues to be solved.
