This practice report is based on the author's interpreting task for an anecdotal record lecture.On November 4th,2019,Miss Julie Brenegar,an American course trainer,was invited to Baoding Cambridge Kindergarten,Hebei Province to give a lecture on anecdotal record for the preschool teachers.The author was entrusted by Baoding Cambridge Kindergarten to do consecutive interpreting and whispered interpreting without manuscripts for this lectureThis report consists of four chapters.The first chapter is task description,which introduces task source,task content,task requirements and task significance.The second chapter is description of interpreting process,which introduces pre-interpreting preparations,interpreting process and post-interpreting feedback and reflection.Among them,the author focuses on pre-interpreting preparations.The third chapter is case analysis,which is the core of this practice report.According to the recording of this interpreting practice,the author makes a detailed analysis of the successful cases and the unsuccessful cases.Under the guidance of the functional equivalence theory,the author takes the audience as the criterion of interpreting and uses certain interpreting strategies to interpret the source speech with proper and natural target language.In addition,the author analyzes and corrects the problems occurred in the process of interpreting The fourth chapter is the conclusion,which focuses on the experience and lessons that the author gained from this interpreting task,with the hope that it may provide some help for the same type of interpreting practice in the future.
