With the continuous development and deepening of domestic and foreign cultural activities, cultural exchange plays a crucial and significant role.Good cultural exchange can make other countries better understand China.More and more foreigners begin to pay attention to the construction of China in politics, culture, economy, and other aspects. However, foreign readers have limited Chinese proficiency and cannot fully understand the rich cultural deposits of China. Therefore,in order to promote the export of Chinese culture and make more Western countries know about China, translation is of particular importance. This thesis is a report of C-E translation practice. The original text of the translation is the excerpt from Research Materials on the Three Sages Culture in Yanjiang District of Ziyang City, with a total of about 12,000 words. The translator has the honor to obtain the authorization from the client to complete the C-E translation work. With a careful study of translation theories, strategies, methods, and techniques, the translator writes this translation practice report. In this report, she summarizes three problems respectively in the translation of culture-loaded terms, special sentence patterns, and titles.Under the guidance of Vermeer's “Skopostheorie”,the translator uses different translation means and techniques to solve the problem in the translation of culture-loaded terms;based on Bassnett's “cultural translation theory”,the translator tries to adopt various translation methods to settle the problem in the translation of special sentence patterns;and under the guidance of Prof.Gu Zhengkun's “plural complementarism of translation standard”,the translator tries to use multiple translation principles to handle the problem in the translation of titles. The report is divided into four parts. The first chapter is the description of the translation task, which mainly includes the source and background of the translation task,a brief introduction to the source text,an analysis of the source text, and the purpose and significance of the translation task. The second chapter is the description of the translation process, including pre-translation tasks, translation procedures, and post-translation tasks. The third chapter is the analysis of translation cases, including three problems in the translation of culture-loaded terms, special sentence patterns, and titles. The fourth chapter briefly describes the experience the translator gains and the existing problems in the process of translation, and some opinions the translator brings forward on the translation of publicity-orientated texts.Through this translation practice, the translator hopes to improve her translation ability and make contributions to the construction of her hometown and foreign exchanges.
