As China and the outside world is more and more inextricably connected nowadays,China’s tourism has flourished and its tourism resources with a rich culture connotation have been warmly welcomed.Numerous foreign tourists have been attracted by abundant cultural information within Chinese tourism.To better communicate with the outside world,the translation of tourist texts plays an important role in presenting tourism resource and promoting tourism industry.Translation of culture loaded terms can be a key and challenge issue in translation study.Tourist texts can be classified into three categories:informative,vocative and expressive ones according to their function,among which informative tourist texts are to convey cultural information and enable readers to know the cultural connotations.The"Scenic Spots of Jin Memorial Temple" gives a brief introduction of Jin Memorial Temple therefore it belongs to informative tourist texts with plenty of culture loaded terms.After Nida’s classification of cultures,the author classifies culture loaded terms into five types:ecological,material,social,linguistic and religious ones.From the perspective of Skopos Theoty,the author translated the text under the precondition of sufficient understanding of culture loaded terms.During translation,translation methods of free translation,literal translation with notes,adaption,amplification and omission are applied in accordance with both foreignization and domestication,in order to implement informative and vocative functions of tourist texts,so as to convey accurate cultural connotation and reach the purpose of better cultural communication.
