In recent years,many Chinese schools and international schools in the Philippines have reopened or added Chinese courses,and the relevant teaching situation has also received the attention of the Chinese teaching circle at home and abroad,and the relevant research has gradually increased.However,as an important part of teaching,the study of Chinese curriculum is not much.As a volunteer Chinese teacher,the author found that the Chinese course offered by Philippine Xavier School has a long history,and the Chinese language curriculum is very unique.In view of this,this paper attempts to make a more comprehensive and in-depth investigation and analysis of the Chinese curriculum in the Philippine Xavier School,hoping to dig out the strengths and weaknesses of the Chinese curriculum in the Philippine Xavier School through its specific analysis,and on this basis,put forward some suggestions for further improvement.The first chapter of this paper is the introduction,which clarifies the reason and significance of the topic,introduces the research status of Chinese curriculum at home and abroad,puts forward the research object and research focus,and makes it clear that the Chinese curriculum of Xavier school is the research object and focus of this paper.At the same time,it summarizes the previous definition of "Curriculum" and defines the research scope of "Curriculum" in this paper,which includes curriculum type,curriculum category,teacher configuration,textbook use and class hour distribution.The second chapter mainly introduces the current situation of Chinese teaching in Xavier School and the Chinese curriculum.It is found that the curriculum of Xavier School has its own characteristics.For example,the way of teaching abandons the ordinary weekly system and adopts Cycle system.It is reasonable and effective to adapt to local conditions.But at the same time,there are also some problems such as the simplicity of the course type.In the third chapter on the basis of a general understanding of the Chinese curriculum in Xavier school,a large-scale questionnaire survey was conducted on the satisfaction of teachers and students with the Chinese curriculum.Through the questionnaire survey,we found that,teachers and students are basically satisfied with the Chinese teaching materials and evaluation methods,and also point out its shortcomings and improvements,such as the scarcity of Chinese teachers and the resulting lack of class hours.The fourth chapter puts forward some practical and effective suggestions for the improvement of the Chinese curriculum in Guangqi school based on the research of the previous chapters,including the types of Chinese curriculum,the types of courses,the Chinese textbooks,the arrangement of Chinese classes,the teaching methods and testing,etc.The fifth chapter summarizes this paper.It points out the shortcomings and application value of the article.
