Phonetic teaching is an often neglected part of teaching in elementary and secondary education.Phonics is a teaching mode that teaches the correspondence between letters and shapes.This method can effectively help students learn the pronunciation rules and skills,which is in line with the curve rule of learning development and cognitive rules of primary school students.The research results show that its application in the primary English phonetics classroom is of research value,and it is instructive for cultivating the students' sense of pronunciation and phonics.However,there are still many imperfections in applying this method to primary English phonetics teaching,such as insufficient teaching time,unreasonable use of teaching materials,and lack of scientific teaching methods and strategies.In order to explore the effect of Phonics on English vocabulary abilities of primary school students,this paper takes the primary school students of No.5 Middle School in Shihezi City,Xinjiang as the research object,and uses Phonics and English vocabulary abilities as research points.A research method combining quantitative research and qualitative research,using experiments,tests,and questionnaires to conduct pretests and questionnaires on vocabulary spelling ability of senior elementary school students in Shihezi No.5 Middle School,followed by a four-month period.Combined with the textbooks required by the school textbooks to systematically teach the teaching of Phonics,at the end of the semester,tests and questionnaires corresponding to the content of the pretest are conducted.The comparative analysis of the experimental results answers the following three: A few research questions: 1.How does natural spelling affect senior English pupils' ability to read words in English vocabulary? 2.What effect does the natural spelling method have on senior English pupils' ability to write and listen to English vocabulary? 3.What effect does the natural spelling method have on primary school students' interest in English vocabulary learning?By analyzing the experimental data,the results show that the natural spelling method can positively affect the ability of senior junior high school students to read,listen and write in English vocabulary,and can improve their vocabulary learning interest.This study summarizes the enlightenment of Phonics in the English vocabulary teaching of senior students,and provides several Phonics teaching strategies for teachers' reference: 1.Multiple teaching methods to enhance the fun of phonetic learning;2.Combine the learned vocabulary to build a complete knowledge structure;3.Use Chinese Pinyin and language transfer to aid memory.
