A Report On C-E Translation Of People-Oriented Education Transformation(Excerpt)

This report,by analyzing the translation practice of People-Oriented Education Transformation(Excerpt)from the perspective of special expressions,including four types,ie.terms,proper nouns,culture-loaded words and quotations,classifies and summarizes the translation problems and translation methods with specific examples in the translation project from two perspectives,namely the standardized and non-standardized special expressions.It finds that the translation methods of different types of special expressions overlap and complement each other.For standardized special expressions,such as some terms,proper nouns and quotations,the established translations should be adopted;for non-standardized ones,like expressions whose literal meanings are easy to understand,literal translation and transliteration can be employed based on the foreignization strategy,while for expressions whose literal meanings are difficult to understand,free translation can be adopted,supplemented by annotations,so as to make the translation accurate and appropriate.
