As an important and difficult point of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,modal adverbs always occupy an important position.The modal adverb “jianzhi” is used very frequently in modern Chinese.Meanwhile,due to its complex semantics and pragmatics,the word “jianzhi” has always been a difficult point in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.After searching related information,the author found the following points.1.The ontology knowledge of the modal adverb “jianzhi” is too theoretical,which is difficult to be applied to the practice of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.2.There is no unified view on the collocation structure of modal adverb “jianzhi” in the linguistic field,which results in errors applying “jianzhi” during the study and practice of foreign students.To deal with the problems above,taking the intermediate and advanced foreign students of Shanghai University of Political Science and Law as the researching object,and using literature research,corpus research,questionnaire survey and interview,the author analyses the errors of foreign students' common sentence pattern of “jianzhi”.This thesis uses data from the CCL Modern Chinese Corpus of Peking University to summarize the pragmatic functions and common structural forms of the modality adverb“jianzhi” on the basis of previous studies.The several structural forms are listed below.(1):“jianzhi” + [+measure] verbal component;(2): “jianzhi” + polar adjective or adjective phrase representing an absolute high(low)value;(3): “jianzhi” + like......(the same);(4): “jianzhi”+Four-character idioms or colloquialisms;(5): “jianzhi” + elements deviating from the presupposition;(6)is “jianzhi” + “shi” /“le”.It is mainly distributed in declarative sentences and exclamatory sentences.By combining the HSK dynamic composition corpus with the error corpus in the questionnaire of intermediate and senior foreign students of Shanghai University of Political Science and Law,and the interview analysis on the teaching situation of teachers' “jianzhi”common sentence patterns,the author got some conclusions.The main types of errors areincorrect substitution,incorrect addition,omission and incorrect ordering.The reasons for the errors are mainly learner factors and teaching factors.The learner factor includes the negative transfer of mother tongue,the negative transfer of target language knowledge and avoidance strategies.The teaching factors include teachers' inadequate attention to the common sentence patterns of “jianzhi”,insufficient class interest,improper error correction,and lack of targeted practice.Finally,some suggestions are put forward from the perspective of learners and teachers on the teaching methods of “jianzhi” common sentence patterns.Learners should strengthen their psychological construction,practice sentence patterns frequently,make bold use of Chinese to communicate,summarize sentence patterns and review them in time after class.Teachers need to pay more attention to “jianzhi” common sentence patterns,strengthen practice and adopt reasonable error correction method.In terms of teaching methods,we should pay attention to early warning of errors,teach at the adoption stage and try to enrich the classroom.
