In recent years,the ballad teaching method has been gradually used by Chinese teachers at home and abroad,widely using in teenager Chinese teaching.However,with the increase of the adult language students in China,Chinese classes in the domestic colleges also need to reform the teaching mode and innovation the teaching method according to the characteristics of adult learner and their actual level of Chinese.The purpose of this paper is to explore the science,feasibility and effectiveness of the ballad teaching method in adult Chinese class by perspectives of psychology,second language acquisition and linguisticsOn the basis of selecting and compiling ballads in teaching practice,this paper holds six principles that should be followed in compiling ballads for advanced language students,as the validity principle,appropriateness principle,practicality principle,cultural principle,interest principle and musicality principleThrough the comparative experiment,this paper comes to the conclusion that the ballad teaching method is beneficial for Chinese language students to improve their phonetics,vocabulary,to master the grammatical structure and enrich their knowledge of Chinese cultureThis paper makes a teaching design of the self-edited ballad,"Hangzhou West Lake",putting forward the teaching strategy of using ballads by expanding the teaching content and the training method.
