| to the limitation of interpretation ability Due and experience,most of the MTI students are more familiar with escort interpretation and consecutive interpretation.Volunteers in foreign aid training projects become a popular but special choice.Foreign aid training can not only help to develop the professional and technical personnel in other countries,but also strengthen exchanges and communication between countries.China's foreign aid training has a long history and is becoming more and more mature,which makes the demand for interpretation services in foreign aid training projects continuously increase.Due to the particularity of foreign aid training projects,interpretation in foreign aid training may be a little bit different from the common interpretation.It includes consecutive interpretation in the classes and escort or liaison interpretation during daily visits.This report will give a detailed description of the problems encountered by the reporter in the project and the corresponding solutions.The main problems encountered by the reporter include the interpretation of the professional terms,accent,cross-cultural communication and noise.Through transcribing and analyzing the interpretation recordings,the reporter thinks that there are the following solutions: consult professional professors to prepare relevant knowledge and prepare materials before interpreting;learn about participants' accent and countries through audio and video materials or communicate with participants to quickly get familiar with their phonetic characteristics;enhance the awareness of cross-cultural communication and understand the taboos of different countries and religions;use gestures and facial expressions to convey meaning and timely transcribe the recording for supplement.The reporter hopes that the solutions proposed in this report can provide reference and lessons for the peers in the field of interpretation. |
