The Problems Of Local Population Ageing Industry Development And The Solutions By Local Government

As a major problem affecting economic and social development,population ageing is a trend in population age composition change.Population ageing has forced the population ageing industry,whose development could help to solve the population ageing problems.In this paper,on the basis of former researches on population ageing and ageing industry,the author takes Huzhou City in Zhejiang Provincefor example to make an empirical study on population ageing industry development,analyzes the role of local government in population ageing industry development,and offers the principles and solutions for the local government to support the population ageing industry.Specifically,this article consists of the following four parts:Part ? is the introductionwhich explains the background and the significance of the research,primarily analyzes theoretical foundation,the overseas and domestic research status,especially domesticscholars 'research.On this basis,the research in this paper is featured as an empirical study on the regional population ageing industry.The conception of the "population ageing industry”in this research has got defined.Part ? is the analysis ofpopulation ageing and aged-care needs.The author compares the data of population ageing situation throughout the country,in Zhejiang Province,and in Huzhou City,studies requirement and consumption features of the elderly.According to the completed survey information and data,the author analyzes the aged-care status of Huzhou elderly,and selects seven aspects,as daily supplies,housekeeping service,community service,housing,leisure tourism,financial planning consulting and floating elderlyconsumption needs,to make a further induction and analysis.Part ? is the analysis of population ageing industry development status.The author takes Huzhou City as an example to analyze the status quo of the elderly products manufacturing,pension services,tourism and leisure,in order to summarize the problems existingin population ageing industry development in Huzhou City.Part IV is the study on the role of local government and development strategy,which points out the role of local government in the population ageing industry development,defines the principles of local government in supporting the population ageing industry.The author also proposes,according to pension needs of the elderly and the current situation of population ageing industry development in Huzhou,the countermeasures,such as developing six specific industries including elderly products manufacturing,etc.
