A Survey Of The Important Behavioral Characteristics Of The Level Cadres In Chongqing Under The Public View

The important behavioral characteristics of the level cadres in Chongqing is refers to the leading cadres has shown a series of typical behavior in leadership activities and work. This study not only further explore a level cadres jobs criteria, enhance cadres' job performance, improve the scientific level of selection and appointment, but also enrich the leadership theory in the public sector.On the basis of literature review and open questionnaire, the study prepared a questionnaire with good reliability and validity. We used the self-made questionnaire to investigate 248 citizens in Chongqing, and then explored the relationship between present situation about the important behavioral characteristics of the level cadres and public satisfaction. Finally, we conducted individual interviews to verify the validity of the results. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) Important behavioral characteristics of the level cadres in Chongqing under the public view is a multi-dimensional system, mainly including political quality, knowledge quality, ability to work, personal drive and personality traits.(2)The total average of important behavioral characteristics of the level cadres in Chongqing is 3.64. The evaluation of each dimension are inconsistent, from high to low is personal drive, political quality, ability to work, knowledge quality, personality traits.(3)The result of the survey is influenced by factors such as age, education, identity, but the influence by different factors is not consistent.(4)There is a significant correlation between important behavioral characteristics of the level cadres in Chongqing and public satisfaction.(5)The effectiveness of the results was verified by individual interviews.At last,from the perspective of cadres and the public put forward some suggestions.
