The Study Of The Elderly Supporting Plight In Rural Area And Strategies

Ageing population is the most serious problem of the twenty-first century all over the world,and it is also the key problem which must be faced and solved in the course of China's economic and social development.China is the developing country with the largest population which faces serious aging population and elderly care issues,and the aging population in the rural area is more serious than that in the cities.In view of the social reality of the serious aging population and the pension problems in rural areas,the research adopts welfare pluralism theory and quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis methods,and takes the village called D in Luohe in Henan province as the subject of investigation.Then the paper trys to explore elderly supporting plight and strategies in rural area nowadays.Firstly,the paper starts from the objective reality of the elderly supporting plight which the aged are facing in the village called D in Luohe in Henan province in three areas,the economic condition,life care and spiritual consolation.Secondly,the paper takes a attempt to analyse existing problems and reasons of the supporting subject: the family,rural community and government.Finally,the paper takes efforts to explore a new set of elderly supporting system which can adapt to China's social and economic development.The method can be the construction of pension model,multikind,multilevel and diversified in rural area which exploits the combined action and affect of the family,rural community and government.Traditional family pension tends to weaken nowadays and can't bear the burden of elderly supporting by its own in rural area.However,the multilevel social security system has not been established which is universal coverage,balanced urban-rural,separated rights and duties and sustainable,and government finance is unable to bear the enormous pension pressure of the whole society.Solving the old aged supporting problem by either side is not reality.The paper holds that we should continue to exert and strengthen the basic security function of the family pension,combined with the diversified combination of social endowment,and exert the cooperated function of the three parties,family,rural community and government,to promote the development of rural pension model,diversified,multilevel and multiway methods.Building the supporting network for the aged in rural area can be the reality and feasible methods of breaking elderly supporting plight.
