Research On The Legal Awareness Of Migrant Workers In Urban And Rural Areas

Citizens' awareness of the rule of law is scientific and solid,which will directly affect the process of building the socialist legal system in our country and thus affect the socialist modernization in our country and its realization.Migrant peasant workers,as a special group in the new era,have a lot of problems in the political,economic and social life fields due to their weak awareness of the rule of law,especially in the urban-rural areas where migrant workers come together.Therefore,in the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics,we must attach great importance to the issue of fostering the awareness of the rule of law among migrant rural workers in urban-rural areas.Based on the previous studies to the legal consciousness of migrant workers,this paper chose the Ningbo's town in Zhejiang Province,which was located in the urban-rural joint department and had more migrant peasant laborers,and we investigated the rural migrant workers,local residents,village cadres,business owners and police stations in this town,and examined the current situation of the legal consciousness of migrant workers in S town.It reveals the problems and causes of the legal consciousness of migrant peasant workers in the rural-urban fringe.The survey found that migrant migrant workers in the rural-urban fringe area began to sprout and develop in the four aspects of rights consciousness,democratic participation consciousness,legal authority consciousness and due process consciousness,but the following problems existed:Cognitive sensibility of the rule of law,including the deviation of the principle of supremacy of law,neglect of cognition of the universality of law,doubt about legal knowledge of the principle of following principles;The recognition of the value of the rule of law is weak.Including low degree of recognition of the role of maintaining order,subjective exclusion of the role of freedom in recognition and protection,queries on the role of justice;The support and participation of the rule of law practice is low,including the "absence" of legislative practice,negative participation in law-abiding practice,lack of law enforcement practice,avoidance of judicial practice.These problems are closely related to cultural factors,institutional factors,environmental factors and migrant workers themselves.According to the characteristics of urban-rural fringe and the specific features of migrant workers,in order to avoid and reduce the problems arising in the growth of the legal consciousness of migrant migrant workers,we should fully mobilize the forces of society,enterprises,grass-roots and so on,through the creation of a good rule of law environment in urban and rural areas,the function of carrying out the social responsibility of enterprises,and the construction of the participation system of migrant rural laborers in the rural-urban fringe,the foreign peasant workers are guided to develop the correct legal awareness and promote the harmonious development of urban-rural.
