Research On Chinese Juvenile Community Correction System

Juveniles arc the future of our country and the foundation of our nation,motherland.However,due to the social transition period,and because of social,political,cultural,economic,and other various masons,juvenile crimes have been a resurgence of high incidence trend,with the characters of a growing age of the maincrime,plural crime types,organized crime gangs,and growing drug abuse exponential,the juvenile ' S crime becomes all urgent problem to solve.to.Therefore,the effective control and prevention and how to educate and remedy the juvenile criminals in a better way has become theorists and substantive industry issues requiring urgent solution.Our traditional correction model,including juvenile penitentiary imprisonment,the labor camp,the govemmental host and social assistance and education,is facing serious challenges and can not effectively take the correctional function.On the contrast,the community correction is universally used as an effective remedy in todays world.Implemented with the new ideas and methods of social justice work,this model is an effective way to react against grim challenges caused by juvenile climes in China's social transition period.It also plays a positive role in improving correction effectiveness,limiting juvenile crimes and promoting the growth and development ofjuveniles.At first,the conception ofjuvenile community correction is defined.Then withthe methods of criminology and sociology,the necessity and inevitability ofjuvenile community correction are analyzed.Next to the introduction and analysis ofjuvenilecommunity correction of other countries and regions,the deficiencies are analyzed according to the assessment of the practice of juvenile community correction in China.Finally a concept ofjuvenile community correction in China is made,that is establishing by the establishment ofvalue concepts,institutions and project systems.The significance of this article is to analyze the deficiencies in the practice of juvenile community correction in China through the comparison of the juvenile community correction work in and out China.And by leaming from the experiences of other countries and regions,a concept of establishing a juvenile community correction system that suits Chma's national conditions is made,which is expected toprovide some help to the theorists and substantive industry.
