“Opinions of the State Council of China on Strengthening and Improving the Governance of Urban and Rural Communities” issued in June 2017 mentioned that improving community governance requires enhancement in community residents' participation capacity and improving community service supply capacity. The report of the 19 th National Congress pointed out that in order to strengthen and innovate social governance,we must establish a new pattern of “co-construction and sharing of governance.” The core of social governance is people, and the strengthening of community autonomy and service functions. The community building creates a new approach as a social governance and provides new ideas for grassroots governance. It emphasizes that through the “independent participation of residents” and the “mutual interaction of multiple participants”,the community's resources are tapped, community social capital is established, and community communities are cultivated.Consciousness will eventually realize self-governance and self-service for residents. In this paper, taking the typical example of the DY community in Chengdu as an example, qualitative and quantitative research methods are combined, social capital theory and governance theory are the theoretical support, and the urban community residents' participation in community building is reflected from the micro, medium and macro perspectives.Levels to reveal the factors that affect residents' participation in community building. This study finds that the motivation of residents' participation mainly comes from emotional connection and benefit connection. For community affairs and activities with high emotional connection and benefit connection, residents show high willingness and frequency of participation.Intensifying residents' participation in the drive will require starting from the actual needs of residents, building a platform for residents' interaction, and building a network of community relations,so that residents will have a bond of affect and interest with other participants. In terms of participation methods, the proportion of residents actively participating in is gradually expanding, and mobilized participation is gradually changing to active participation.Through the collation and data analysis of interview data, the author analyzes the factors that influence residents' participation in community construction from the micro-resident level, the medium-level social organization level, and the macro-community level. From the perspective of individual residents, older residents, residents who live longer, and residents who have volunteers or self-organized communities in the community have a higher sense of identity, and are more likely to take the initiative and to participate in community affairs and activities. From the meso level of residents, the more interactions and mutual assistance among residents, the higher the degree of trust, and the stronger the network of community relations, the easier it will be to participate.Community norms allow residents to gradually establish a sense of public interest and community community awareness. From the perspective of social organizations,it is an effective way to promote the participation of residents by tapping the elites of the community and the backbone of residents, nurturing community self-organization,and continuous promotion and encouragement. From the community's point of view, building a platform for democratic consultation, timely understanding and feedback of residents' appeals, and increasing the residents' sense of participatory effectiveness can inspire deep-seated residents' participation. The establishment of community charity funds, the creation of community cultural brands and the strengthening of community leadership capabilities are all conducive to improving the residents' sense of community identity and thus enhancing residents' awareness of participation and actions. The author analyzes the influencing factors of residents' participation in community construction from three levels, constructs an interactive environment for the construction of multiple communities in urban communities, and provides some practical experience and supplements for similar research.
