| The trend of population aging in China is becoming more and more obvious, and it is expected to become more serious in the future. Therefore,it is important and urgent to study the elderly population. With the miniaturization of family size and the change of people’s concept, more and more elderly people choose to leave their children to live, which results in the rapid increase of families for the elderly living alone in China.Based on the research of domestic and foreign literatures and discussion of related concepts, this thesis points out the problems existing in the process of supporting the elderly living alone, and uses family life cycle theory, social support theory and demand level theory to analyze the factors affecting the elderly living alone. Then, with the help of CHARLS data,Using the two-class logistic model, this thesis makes an empirical study on the factors affecting the pension of the elderly living alone in China, and draws some valuable conclusions. Finally, combined with the research conclusions and the problems found,it puts forward a series of targeted countermeasures and suggestions. In the process of empirical research, this thesis chooses 14 indicators, including sleep duration, social interaction, subsidies for children, subsidies for children, housing ownership, medical insurance,old-age insurance,property,debt,self-care ability,self-emotion,loneliness,hope and whether life is difficult to continue, according to the characteristics of each indicator variable.Direction:13 indicators besides "whether or not life is unsustainable" are categorized as family economic support factors, family spiritual support factors and social support factors.Among them, family economic support factors include subsidies for children, subsidies for children, housing ownership, property and liabilities, and family spiritual expenditure.Holding factors include length of sleep,self-care ability,self-emotion,loneliness and hope, and social support factors include social, health insurance and pension insurance. On this basis, with "whether or not life is difficult to sustain" as dependent variable, family economic support factors, family spiritual support factors and social support factors as independent variables, the use of two-class Logistic model for empirical research. The results show that the family economic support factors have no significant influence on whether the elderly living alone feel that their life is unsustainable or not;after considering the social support factors, the factors of family spiritual support have significant influence on whether the elderly living alone feel that their life is unsustainable or not, except for the social support factors. In addition to the"old-age insurance",other factors have a significant impact on whether the elderly living alone "find life unsustainable".This thesis draws the following conclusions:firstly, there are problems of survival, life and emotional support in the old-age problem of the elderly living alone;the old-age problem of the elderly living alone in rural areas is more serious;family spiritual support factors and social support factors are the core factors affecting the old-age problem of the elderly living alone.Based on this, this thesis puts forward the following countermeasures and suggestions:first,we should improve the standard of spiritual support through legislation,at the same time, establish a more perfect community pension service platform;second,we should continue to promote the medical insurance policy covering all the elderly living alone, establish a scientific talent cultivation mechanism, and mobilize the social volunteer force extensively. |
