Case Work Intervention Study On Emotional Support Of Rural Empty Nest Elderly

With the rapid development of China's economy,the steady progress of urbanization and the improvement of medical and health levels,the age structure of China's population is changing,leading to the acceleration of population aging.As a result,there are more empty-nesters,and the subsequent pension problem becomes more and more important.In fact,the improvement of material level has not caused any obstacle for the pension problem.On the contrary,the lack of emotional support has become the biggest problem for the elderly in their mental care,as well as a focus of social work for the elderly.Therefore,it is of theoretical and practical significance to study the emotional support of rural empty-nesters.This article from the perspective of social work in visiting and investigation the L village empty nest old man's basic situation,selected a typical and representative of empty-nesters director for this study,understand the present situation of the service object emotional support,emotional needs and problems of the service object is analyzed after diagnosis,the social support theory and activity theory,using the methods of case work,guidance on director's own mood.And then from the director of the children,neighbors,friends and the village committee four aspects has carried on the intervention,for three months,basically solved the director the plight of the lack of support,emotion,enrich the director in his later years of life,make the director to be happy,happy to spend their twilight years,and on this basis to solve the problem of rural empty-nesters emotional need effective countermeasures are put forward.This paper tries to through the case work method to study the emotional needs of the empty nest elderly,explore the social work intervention in rural empty-nesters emotional support of the effective ways and methods,through the concrete practice process and on the basis of summarizing the predecessors' research in this paper,the research conclusion: case work in rural empty-nesters can play an effective role of emotional support,case work represents the targeted intervention,can be personalized to solve problems;Must strengthen the family member to the service object emotion support consciousness,enhances the service object to solve the problem the ability;The change of service object's own concept is the key to get out of the predicament of lacking emotion.
