Research On Citizen Satisfaction Evaluation Of Urumqi’s Public Transport Service

Developed public transport plays an important role on the development of a city,and it has already become a fundamental index,which evaluate a city’s overall development level.Public transport is also related to the realization of citizen’s vital interests and the improvement of the city’s image.Since reform and opening,Urumqi’s public transport services have made a significant progress,but there are still shortcomings.This paper takes research results and theoretical knowledge that related city public transport services at home and abroad as guidance,and takes the new public service theory,satisfaction theory,the theory of public goods and total quality management theory as the theoretical basis.The theme of this paper is "citizen satisfaction of urban public transport service".The research explores the citizen’s satisfaction of the current ordinary buses,Bus Rapid Transit and taxi services through accidental sampling investigation in Urumqi.The present situation of Urumqi’s public traffic is described,on the premise of reliability verification of ordinary buses,Bus Rapid Transit and taxi this paper mainly analyses citizen’s satisfaction questionnaire of public transportation with factor analysis.This paper analyzes Urumqi’s three public transport’s satisfaction degree,and the result is that the satisfaction degree is between generally satisfaction and satisfaction,but the citizens are more likely to be satisfied.The research extracts three public transport’s satisfaction indexes and makes a further analysis.The empirical results show that citizens pay more attention to ordinary bus’s speed and convenience,appearance,service attitude and time arrangement.As for Bus Rapid Transit citizens pay more attention to speed and convenience,appearance and safe driving.The citizens also pay more attention to taxi’s appearance and safe driving.This paper analyzes the problems of Urumqi’s public transport service through the perspective of citizen’s satisfaction so as to find out the root of the problem.This paper analyzes the problems of Urumqi’s public transport service through the perspective of citizen’s satisfaction and the reasons that cause the problems.On this basis,the paper puts forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions,so as to provide the reference to the enhancement of Urumqi’s public transport services,and enable the government to provide better serve for citizens.
